Jimi BioSince the early ‘80’s, Jimi Goare has been known for his unique style and command of the electric guitar. At age 17, Jimi began touring with the indie-band “Shyster,” who went on to sell over 10,000 copies of their debut EP which was recorded in Cleveland, Ohio by hit producer Carl Maduri III (Wild Cherry, Donnie Iris, Michael Stanley). The EP garnered several Midwestern radio hits which propelled the band to play shows with Cheap Trick, Night Ranger, Eddie Money and Bachman, Turner, Overdrive.

In 2002, Jimi released “Age of Grace” on the Las Vegas label Retrospect Records. The album contained 13 original songs written by Jimi, including previously released songs from the original Shyster EP.

Jimi has mentored over 1,000 aspiring guitarists throughout his career. In October 2015, he was presented with The Arts Advocate Award from the Lima, Ohio Rotary Club, for mentoring and inspiring Minor Blues; Allen County’s premier youth, blues/rock band.

Goare is the band director for New Frontiers.
